Korg Polysix: Gate to S-Trigger Converter

Due to space constraints, I had to sell my Polysix. I'm leaving these pages here for reference, but it is unlikely that there will be any updates in this section

The Polysix has an S-Trigger input that feeds the arpeggiator clock.  Everything else in my studio uses gates, so I needed to make a Gate to S-Trig Converter. This is incredibly easy, and uses one transistor (2N3904), one 10K resistor, (2) 1/4" jacks and a project box.  I simply soldered the parts directly to the jacks, being careful to insulate the leads with heatshrink tubing.

  1. Connect an insulated wire to the sleeve of the input jack;  Make sure the wire is long enough to reach the output jack.  This is your ground wire.
  2. Solder the collector of the 2N3904 to the tip of the output jack.
  3. Solder the emitter of the 2N3904 and the other end of the ground wire to the sleeve of the output jack
  4. Solder one end of a 10K resistor to the tip of the input jack.
  5. Connect the other end of the 10K resistor to the base of the transistor
