OCT-1A

Octave Switcher - Scratch Built

This module as actually quite simple, and it's based on a design from Blacet Labs. First, it's important to create a stable reference voltage. For this I used a standard 5.1v zener diode run into an inverting buffer. A proper voltage reference would be better, but this seems to work well so far. Subsequent opamp stages are used to divide the voltage down to the 4 required voltages: +1v, +2v, -1v and -2v. A trimmer is provided at each stage to adjust the output voltage. Each stage is connected to a rotary switch and a pair of 1/4" jacks. The schematic for OCT-1A is available here.

Multis

Scratch Built

Multis aren't a very glamorous module, but they're quite necessary. It's simply a panel full of jacks that are connected together - you use it to route one output to multiple inputs.

I have made 2 Multis so far, but I could use a couple more. Both are built in a 1U FracRak panel. The first one I made has 2 sections of 4 jacks. The newer one has 2 rows of 5 jacks. The top jack of the second row is normalled to the first row which allows it to be used as a 9 connection multi or 2 independent 5 connection multis.
